Cultivation Philosophy

The college adheres to the education and teaching concept of“output-oriented, student-centered and continuous improvement”in talent cultivation. The three majors combine the needs of the country, especially in Sichuan Province, for the development of the communications industry and integrated circuit industry, and within the framework of the overall goal of talent cultivation in the school, set the training objectives based on the “National Standard for Teaching Quality of Electronic Information Classes”, and completed the graduation requirements and curriculum construction in this way, forming a training program that integrates the concept of CDIO and embodies the output-oriented training programme. It has formed a new curriculum system that combines general courses and specialized courses, and integrates the trinity of cultivation of knowledge, ability and quality.

The college has established a college-level teaching quality monitoring system. Each management organization has a clear division of work and responsibilities, and is responsible for decision-making, planning, organization, direction, coordination, supervision, evaluation and estimation of the whole process of teaching work. The College has established  clear output-oriented teaching quality standard, and each teaching link has a clear quality requirement, which ensures the effective operation of the teaching quality monitoring mechanism and guarantees the implementation of quality standards. The College has established a strict review mechanism for the contents and methods of the assessment, strengthening the process assessment and ensuring that the results of the assessment can be fully reflect students' learning situation.

The college practices CDIO Engineering Education Talent Cultivation Philosophy. Since 2008, it has fully implemented the teaching mode of “Conception, Design, Realization and Operation”, and the student training mechanism of mentor-led, project-driven, team-learning, and mentor-student supervision has been established through the formation of student teams, supplemented by real projects in enterprises.

Over the years, the college has trained tens of thousands of alumni, and produced outstanding graduates such as Chen Chunbao, Chen Rui, Chen Gang, Yang Yuhang, Bao Xiaojun, as well as the chairman of Chengdu Runlian Science and Technology Development Company,Xiao Yangli, the general manager of the Sichuan branch of Skyworth Group Co., Ltd,Jin Tieli, and the manager of Thunder Software Technology Co., Ltd,Yu Yue.
