The 5G Communication Network and Application Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Center") currently has fixed assets worth over 10 million yuan and more than 500 pieces of equipment, including more than 20 pieces of equipment worth over 100,000 yuan each. This includes some of the instruments and simulation software required for virtual experimental platforms, with the laboratory space covering an area of over 1,000 square meters.
The operation and development of the Center have been strongly supported by the university. Over the past three years, with financial support from various levels of government and university funds, the Center has continuously invested in the construction of virtual simulation resources. It has expanded the 5G full-network deployment and optimization virtual simulation teaching system by 40 sets and added 40 student simulation terminals, effectively ensuring the smooth progress of 5G virtual simulation experimental teaching and the sharing of resources with society. In 2023, the Center initiated the construction of a "5G Security Virtual Simulation" teaching platform through school-enterprise cooperation, which has received financial support from the university and has entered the construction process.
In response to the characteristics of virtual simulation teaching, the Center strictly enforces the following management regulations: Construction and Management Methods for the 5G Communication Network and Application Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center, and the Working Regulations of the Teaching Steering Committee for the 5G Communication Network and Application Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center, to ensure high-quality experimental teaching. Based on these management methods, the Center implements an assessment mechanism related to teaching effectiveness, forming a management loop through the evaluation, feedback, and rectification of teaching outcomes.
The Center strictly enforces the university's regulations on the operation and management of experimental equipment, with a dedicated person responsible for the management and maintenance of all equipment. They are directly responsible for the use, operation, maintenance, and safety of the experimental equipment under their management and regularly document these records.
