Communications Engineering

Established in 1978, it is one of the earliest 4 undergraduate majors in the university. It is a state-level featured major, a pilot major of the Ministry of Education's“Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program”, a national first-class undergraduate major construction site, and a major of the national engineering education accreditation program. Based on communication,electronics and computer technologies, the program has formed three distinctive professional directions:microwave communication, communication terminal and cloud communication. It has trained more than 6,000 talents in the field of communication engineering for the country, and a large number of outstanding alumni have emerged.

Microelectronic Science and Engineering

Established in 2006, the first microelectronics undergraduate program among Sichuan provincial institutions. It is a national first-class undergraduate program construction site, a national engineering education accreditation program,and a pilot program of”Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program”in Sichuan province.Based on physics, electronics and computer technology, the program has formed a distinctive professional direction of RF analog integrated circuit design. The students trained by the program are now spreading all kinds of microelectronics related fields all over the country,and some of them have grown up to be the elites in the industry.

Integrated Circuit Engineering and Integrated Systems

Established in 2019, the first integrated circuit and integrated system program in Sichuan provincial institutions. Facing the strategic needs of the country and the world's scientific and technological frontiers of the emerging electronic information specialties, characterized by the cross-fertilization of microelectronics and solid-state electronics, circuit systems, signal and information processing, and other disciplines, the program focuses on cultivating high-quality applied senior engineering and technical talents in the fields of digital integrated circuit design and integrated system architecture design who are engaged in scientific research, technology development, marketing, engineering application, system testing and management.

Practice Platforms

The college has two provincial practice teaching platforms, namely”Sichuan Province Integrated Circuit Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center”and“Sichuan 5G Communication Network and Application Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center”, Sichuan Province Integrated Circuit Modern Industrial College.The college has established student internship and practical training bases with more than 10 famous enterprises outside the college, such as China Telecom Corporation Chengdu Branch, Sichuan Hexin Microelectronics Co.Ltd., Maipu Communication Technology Co.Ltd., Chengdu Suochengyi Semiconductor Co.Ltd.
