Research Team of Next Generation Wireless Communications and Wireless Sensor Network

Research Team Profile:

Wireless Communication Research Team start to establish around Mar. 2015. Our main research interestes include wireless communication protocols, signal processing algorithms for multiple scenarios with innovate solutions as well as ASIC design and FPGA implementation .We have already successfully devliver our research to the industry fields, e.g. ATSC/ DVB-T ASIC design, wireless sensor network with bluetooth mesh newtork and RFID design. The team is based at the School of Communication Engineering at Chengdu University of Information Technolgoy. We also have very tight connection with several research teams in pretigious universities and world-wide known universities due to study and working experiences in these places.

Dr. Li (Alex) Li obtained his Ph. D. degree in electronics engineering from the University of York in 2014, and now he is working in Chengdu University of Information Technology, China. His research interests include fields of wireless communication, MIMO-OFDM, adaptive filtering as well as ASIC design.


Dr. Yao Huang received his Ph. D degree at Wireless Technology Innovation Institute (WTI) in Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), China and Sheffield University, UK. Now, he is a lecturer in Chengdu University of Information Technology. His research interests include internet of things (IoT), Machine-to-Machine communication (M2M), and radio resource management of wireless communications.


Dr. Hua Wei obtained his Ph.D. degree from ECS department, university of Southampton in September, 2005, From Jan.2006 to Sep. 2014 he worked as the principle engineer in Spread spectrum Communication for wireless modem design. Since September 2014, he joined in Chengdu University of information technology. His research area includes adaptive equalization, signal processing and VLSI design for wireless baseband processor.


Prof. Jiang Du obtained his Ph. D. degree from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2004, and then he joined the “CoreTech” research lab for wireless communication at Samsung in Korean. Since 2006, he has been with School of Communication Engineering, Chengdu University of Information Technology, China, where he is currently a professor. His research interests include MIMO-OFDM systems design, RFID design, ASIC design and signal processing for radar and speech.
